The Artist

Hi, I’m Marsha Vomastic.

I have been painting for most of my life but it took me awhile to start selling my artwork.

I attended Edinboro State Teachers College in Pennsylvania with a major in Art Education prior to turning to business as a major at Edgewood College in Madison, WI. I eventually earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Art was put on the back burner while I honed skills in financial analysis and computer software. I discovered that developing web sites was a good way to meld both my business skills and creative penchants.

I tend to do a lot of nature themes, but still enjoy flights of fancy and abstracts. Feathers, hides and rocks give me new challenges with every creation because nature tends not to be uniform. Using natural objects as canvasses ensures that each work of art is unique.

I worked for awhile at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Wisconsin is blessed with wonderful natural resources and the beauty of the state is an inspiration for me in my artwork.

I am now retired from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue as the web developer for the Wisconsin Lottery.

Now I live in Casa Grande, Arizona and I’m learning to love the amazing landscapes here.

I hope you enjoy your experience on my Painted Nature website!

Sincerely,
Marsha Vomastic

[note: In addition to signing my works as Marsha Vomastic, MV or MLV currently, in the past I have also been: Marsha Henderson, Marsha Lewis, MLH, MLL.]
